I have used this to groom our Australian Shepherds and was always surprised how well it worked on the doubled coated breeds. My only objection was how rapidly the brush fills with hair. Now we have a smooth coated Border Collie puppy and wow, I am so glad to have this brush! It works so well on the smooth coat, and he absolutely loves being brushed with it; it's like a little massage and mercifully, it is one way I can get him to settle down. And if you've ever had a BC you know what a feat that is! And I am always shocked at how much I get out of his little smooth coat!
