I *heart* my Furminator!
I've got two cats and one medium sized dog. I use the same (medium-sized) Furminator for all of them, and it's working out beautifully. I Furminate every two to four weeks and it's REALLY cut down on the pet hair in my home. I've had this for several months now and I love it!
My dog is short haired with a moderate undercoat (a Dutch Shepherd) and both of the cats are medium haired. I've heard that this tool isn't always the best for long haired pets, but for my short and medium haired zoo, it's been great!
The first time you use it, expect enough hair to make a whole new pet! After that, it's easier as long as you keep up with it.
