Solid, works, but generally too expensive. I believe others have begun marketing similar 'technology' that is approximate to the Furminator and for a lot less. However, at $10 or $1000, the Furminator gets 5 stars because it absolutely does what it claims to do and what you want and need it to do. Use it and you will have no problems. This has been my experience.
