The Furminator certainly removes hair but I'm not convinced that it's actually removing loose hair. I think it's just removing hair in general. That's fine by me though because regardless of what it is doing I'm seeing positive results. It's basically a really effective slicker brush. With daily use, my dog is shedding less and her coat is smooth, shiny, and soft. She doesn't seem to mind me using it on her and she prefers it to her slicker brush. I usually run in quickly through her coat two or three times a day as opposed to one lengthy brushing session because she tolerates that better. I paid about $25 for the Furminator and it's worth that much but I wouldn't go much higher.
