We have huskie/shepherd/golden retiever mix, and definitely an indoor dog. Long hair with a lot of fine underfur. The house is MUCH cleaner since we started using the FURminator. As with any grooming tool, the more you use it, the better it works. It's easier on the dog than the typical wire brushes.
