Have owned the furminator since Sept 2009. We have an Australian cattle dog and she "blows" several times a year. When she does, you can probably fill a pillow with the amount of dog hair she loses. The furminator desheds her in no time. When she "blows", I use the defurminator 2-3 times a week and it makes a BIG difference. Hardly any dog hair in the house! Great invention!!
