FURminator Large Yellow deShedding Tool with 4-Inch Edge Order Now

As a professional groomer and owner of a long-haired cat, I can definitely agree that the Furminator lives up to the hype. It pulls out massive amounts of hair, especially on dogs and cats that have undercoat, and it makes the coat much shinier and softer. It also greatly reduces shedding after regular use. And there's nothing like the satisfaction of setting to work on a Pomeranian or German Shepherd and watching the transformation as clumps of hair come off the dog and fill up bag after bag. It truly is amazing and effective.

Just a few words of caution or warning to the amateur user:

* Do not press too hard and dig into the skin. While the Furminator isn't designed to cut the hair, the blade is still quite sharp, and you can hurt your pet if you're not careful.

* Do not swipe too many times over the same area, and don't use it on the animal for an extended period of time in one sitting. This can irritate the skin, and if your pet already has a cut or scab that you're unaware of, swiping over it too much with the Furminator can open the wound and make it worse.

* The Furminator is not really intended to be an every day sort of brush, it's more like a treatment. If you have a pet that needs to be brushed daily, use a metal comb or slicker brush on a daily basis, and the Furminator about once a week to de-shed. Using it every day can irritate your pet's skin.

* The Furminator doesn't work wonders on every single dog or cat. It all depends on their coat, and sometimes a Furminator just really won't get much off of a particular animal. I've found it's often less effective on animals with short hair, such as Beagles. For many short-hair dogs and cats, a rubber brush like the Zoom Groom works much better. It all depends on the coat.

That said, I highly recommend the Furminator. It will most likely make your pet look and feel much better, and greatly reduce the amount of shedding.Get more detail about FURminator Large Yellow deShedding Tool with 4-Inch Edge.
