I've tried 2 other burshes on my cat and neither one was great. She is a medium hair cat, but sheds a ton. The first brush with kind of upside down nails with rounded heads didn't do a thing. The second had thinner bristles and no rounded head. This one works fairly well, but she doesn't like it because I think it hurts her, so she won't stay still long enough to really brush her. The FURminator works well and our cat tolerates it well also. Its amazing how much fur comes out with this.
