I have tried a good amount of brushes for my dog, some worked well and some didn't work at all. I have a 90lb husky/malamute which sheds heavily and until now have not had a comb that could do the job. The Furminator works great, and unlike any other comb out there my dog doesn't try to bite me when I use it on him. I was really surprised at this and I believe it comes down to the design of the Furminator. Thank you Furminator.
Pros:
- Works on a large multi-coat dog
- Solid design
- Teeth of comb don't hurt my dog
- Replacing blades *seems* to only require a fairly standard screw driver
Cons:
- Replacement blades cost 2/3 the cost of the product
- Buying this at a store is twice as expensive
