I bought the FURminator because I have a long-haired cat that always sheds the tiniest undercoat furs that end up blowing around my apartment. When I received the product I wasn't sure how the cat was going to like it but I held her down on her side and combed her fur with this tool. I was very surprised at how fine-toothed the comb was and learned that I needed to press down a little more to get through my cat's long fur.
I was very PLEASANTLY surprised! I got the hang of using the tool like they do on the commercial (short quick strokes to comb out the fur) and the pile of fur that I was getting off my cat grew and grew! This is an excellent tool and I am very excited to bring it back to my parent's house where we have a sweet dog that is part-Chow, and could REALLY use a good brushing with this super tool. I am completely satisfied and am also impressed by how durable and sturdy the tool really is.
