We got this for our 10-month old Yellow Lab. My wife HATES having fur around the house, but LOVES dogs and especially wanted a lab because of their temperament. At around 6-8 months the dog started shedding, a lot. My wife went crazy vacuuming for a while, before we got the Furminator (large). We have ZERO complaints.
At first we get a ton of fur off the dog, but there was still a decent amound of shedding going on, but after a week or two there was a very noticeable decrease in the fur around the house. Vacuuming now happends about a fifth of the frequency that it used to, pre-Furminator.
