My dog is the sheddingest canine ever. I heard that the Furminator was the best tool for the job, so went ahead and ordered the medium size.
My dog is about 30 lbs., dachshund mix (with what else? I dunno.), and usually walks around in a cloud of loose fur. The Furminator takes care of this, but requires too many strokes: Even though my dog is what I'd call medium, with the medium Furminator, it takes too long to get the job done. I should've got the large instead.
Bottom line: Yes, get the Furminator...but consider ordering the next size up for whatever kind of dog you have. Chihuahua owner? Get the medium. Great dane?
