I was offered the Furminator treatment at Petsmart's grooming salon. While waiting to pick up my dog I saw this tool for sale around $50! I thought they were insane, but my curiosity was piqued. Maybe it was worth the money.
After doing some research online and seeing excellent reviews, I bought the tool for half of amazon's price on Ebay (following another reviewer's advice). It is the best $12 (including shipping) that I've ever spent. I removes so much more hair than I ever got with a slicker brush. My cocker spaniel puppy sheds 24-7 despite all the premium foods and regular grooming, so I've been using the Furminator almost on a daily basis. She hates it, but it gets the job done.
