I have a mixed breed dog-Golden/Collie/perhaps some Chow. His long fur has been a challenge from day 1, and, due to hip problems, and a distrust of groomers, I have the job of bathing and grooming him! His fur is quite long, thick, with a heavy undercoat. The FUrminator is the perfect tool, and really gets through the layers. Hunter actually appears to enjoy the grooming-unless, of course, I spend too much time on his rear end area-then he just gets up!!!! I collect so much of his hair, that I just distribute it outside under trees for the birds to use in their nest building.
