Does what it says -- removes lots (and lots) of undercoat and leaves my 70 lb Black Lab/German Shepherd mix soft and shiny. He enjoys it, too!

I get the best results by repeating short strokes all over his body, once a week. (Takes about 10 minutes to do a thorough job.) Just be sure to use it outside or you'll get hair everywhere. Right now it's summertime in Florida, so he's shedding more than usual and the Furminator helps tremendously by keeping his coat cooler and reducing our need to vacuum -- we're down to twice a week now, whereas formerly I had to vacuum almost daily.
